Televisa does not have substantial pay-TV market power

Mexico's Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) has decided that Televisa Group does not have substantial market power in the pay-TV market. In the period from September 2013 to March 2015, Televisa Group's share dropped from 64.1 percent to 62.2 percent. On the cable platform, its market share fell from 54.0 percent to 51.7 percent, and on the satellite platform, from 73.0 percent to 70.8 percent.
