Telia faces SEK 50 mln for refusing to change its procedures for wholesale switching

Swedish communications regulator PTS said it is ordering Telia Company to follow the rules for switching operators, or face a fine of SEK 50 million. In the interests of competition, Telia is obliged to provide other operators with access to part of its network, as it has significant power on the market for local access to grid infrasructure. Telia must switch a connection on its network to a new operator, provided that this new operator has made a reasonable request.
