Telia Finland says most Dot users switch off mobiles at 22:00 hrs

Friday 28 December 2018 | 11:01 CET | News
Telia Finland says most people using the Telia Dot device usage tracker that it brought out in October choose to switch off their mobile phones at 22:00 hrs, although nearly one third turn them off at 23:00 hrs or midnight. Brain researcher Kita Muller said it is thought that the blue light from smart devices interferes with sleep, and that people benefit from taking a break from such gadgets before going to bed. Only 15 percent of Telia Dot's users leave their phone in a different room, with more than half keeping it within a couple of meters of their bed.
