Telia Norway said it will gradually phase out its 3G network from the turn of the year to free up capacity for 4G and 5G. Kjersti Jamne, head of private markets, said the operator will give customers more precise information closer to the time, but it is warning them now so that the relatively few customers affected have the chance to migrate to LTE-compliant handsets. Migration will be largely complete in 2020.
