Telia Norway has won a competitive tender to instal infrastructure to fill a gap in mobile telecoms service on an 11 km stretch of county highway 63 in More & Romsdal, between the Troll Path and Valldal. The site is located in a national park and will run on solar and wind power. Network director Kirke Saar said every subscriber will be able to ring the emergency services.

The Troll Path road is one of Norway's most popular tourist attractions. It is closed to traffic during the winter but is well visited during the summer, until the first snow appears. In July, as many as 2,000 vehicles can use the Troll Path road.
