Telia Sweden resumes data retention

Thursday 28 August 2014 | 12:20 CET | News
Telia Sweden said it has resumed data retention after national post and telecoms regulator PTS asked Swedish operators to do so in line with the law on economic communications (LEK). Telia stopped storing customer information when the European Court of Justice declared the EU data retention directive invalid in April. Telia said it welcomes the pending court case to decide whether LEK is compatible with EU law.
