Telkom expects repairs to submarine cables damaged off Angola to begin 28 January

South African operator Telkom says the cable vessel Leon Thevenin is sailing towards Angola to start repairing damage to the South Atlantic 3/West Africa Submarine Cable (SAT3/WASC) and the West African Cable System (WACS) that occurred on 16 January. Weather conditions permitting, it is anticipated that the vessel will reach its first repair site on the evening of 28 January.
