Telkom Kenya puts properties worth KES 3.87 billion up for sale ahead of merger

Telkom Kenya has put KES 3.87 billion worth of properties throughout the country up for sale as it seeks to raise cash to contribute to its forthcoming merger with Airtel, Business Daily reported. It has hired property dealing firm Axis Real Estate, to dispose of the prime assets sitting on about 17.8 acres of land. Telkom said it has requested shareholder approval to raise the cash, including through the sale of its prime property, to meet its part of the merger deal.
