Telkom presents ideas for cutting communications costs in South Africa

Telkom has presented to the Committee on Communications and Public Enterprises measures that could lower the cost to communicate in South Africa. These include access to the sub-1 GHz frequency band, introduction of a wireless open access network and subsidising broadband for poor communities.
