Telkom says restructuring costs fall as lockdown causes it to postpone job cuts

Telkom South Africa said the cost of the group's restructuring have reduced from approximately ZAR 1.5 billion to around ZAR 1.2 billion as a result postponing retrenchments because of the lockdown. In a trading statement, it said it had seen a surge in fixed and mobile network traffic from people working from home during the lockdown, which started nearly six weeks ago.
