Telkom warns uncapped ADSL users of excess streaming, gaming

South Africa's Telkom has warned uncapped ADSL clients that using 'excessive' concurrent internet sessions or bandwidth-intensive protocols may result in throttling and bandwidth shaping, MyBroadband News reported. Telkom highlighted that streaming video and online gaming are examples of usage patterns which may cause problems. Telkom said that while its uncapped products do not have specific data usage caps, it can apply restrictions to an uncapped account.
