Telkomsel deploys submarine cable system in Timor Leste

Timor Leste operator Telkomcel, owned by Telekomunikasi Indonesia International (Telin), is building a submarine cable network to connect Timor Leste, Tempo reports. The infrastructure will provide internet bandwidth for customers in cities and rural areas. According to Telkomcel CEO Yogi Rizkian Bahar, the company is waiting for the license from the Timor Leste government.
