Telmex fined MXN 5.4 for violating public TV concession

Mexican telecoms regulator IFT said it fined America Movil's fixed-line unit Telmex MXN 5.4 million for violating the terms of its public TV concession. IFT's investigation, launched in August 2015, found that Telmex had contravened the rules through a series of deals made with satellite TV provider Dish Mexico over the period November 2008 to August 2014.
