Mexican telecommunications regulator IFT has fined America Movil's fixed-line unit Telmex a total of MXN 2.54 billion for breaches of minimum quality in its dedicated link services dating back to 2013 and 2014. In a statement, America Movil pledged to challenge the fine, which it described as "illegal and disproportionate", adding that it affects "the certainty and legal security in a sector that requires important investments for its development."
