TelOne commissions USD 1.5 mln fibre-optic link

Zimbabwean operator TelOne has commissioned the USD 1.5 million fibre-optic link on the Makuti-Chirundu highway. The state-owned operator funded the link, which provides the capacity to carry domestic traffic for all local telecoms players as well as carry signals across Zambia. With the establishment of the fibre link, there is hope that the country is positioning its infrastructure well for economic transformation.
