Telstra, Broadpeak to create Hybrid Unicast/LTE-B service for fixed, mobile networks

Broadpeak, a provider of content delivery network (CDN) and video streaming services for content providers and pay-TV operators, and Australian operator Telstra plan to jointly implement a service designed to upgrade video quality and efficiency over fixed and mobile networks. The joint service leverages Broadpeak's umbrellaCDNTM content delivery network selector and BkA100 analytics running on the Telstra networks, along with Telstra's intelligent device detection service. Broadpeak's and Telstra's service will intelligently detect device capability in real time, and combine business rules
