Telstra's cloud platform secures ISO27001 award

Australian communications firm Telstra has been awarded the ISO27001 international standard for information security management for its cloud platform. The company's data storage service were already compliant to the standard and now its cloud platforms, backup and recovery service, associated operational systems and tools have been assessed as compliant to the standard. The ISO27001 certification is part of the AUD 800 million investment Telstra is making in cloud computing over the next few years and follows on from recent certifications of Telstra infrastructure from global application and
