Terranet in talks over mast-free mobile voice software

Lund-based Terranet has developed mesh software enabling mobile phone conversations without a SIM card or masts, and has signed cooperation agreements with three global mobile and computer companies, regional newspaper Sydsvenskan reported in its online edition. The technology piggybacks on other mobile handsets in the vicinity. Board chairman Anders Ranten said the indications from the telecoms companies with which it is working is that it could sell millions of licences in 2015.
