Wednesday 11 April 2012 | 08:45 CET | News
French free-to-air channels TF1, M6 and Qatari-owned pay channels Be In Sport 1 and 2 have secured from UEFA broadcasting rights to the Euro 2012 and 2016 football tournaments. Euro 2012 starts in June. Les Echos reports that Al-Jazeera's sister channels will air all 31 matches and that TF1 and M6 will air 19 of them, including France-England, France-Ukraine and France-Sweden this year. TF1 and M6 are paying EUR 20 million for Euro 2012 and the same amount for Euro 2016, compared to EUR 50 million for Euro 2008, before Be In One was formed.
