Thai regulator reduces license bandwidth for upcoming 700 MHz auction

Thursday 16 May 2019 | 07:20 CET | News
Thailand's National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) has reduced the amount of bandwidth for licenses that will be up for sale in the country's upcoming spectrum tender. The regulator plans to auction three 700 Mhz licences from 15MHz to 10MHz, lowering the reserve price from THB 25-27 billion to THB 17.58 billion, Bangkok Post reports. NBTC announced the change of terms and conditions on 14 May in the final draft of the licence sale, claiming that last-minute changes are due restrictions set by the Section 44 order.
