Thaicom revenue drops 22% in 2019 on declining satellite business

Satellite operator Thaicom reported revenue from sales and services of THB 4.66 billion for 2019, which represents a decline of 22.4 percent from 2018. The revenue decrease was mostly a result of declining revenue from satellite and related services due to customer churn, the company said. Most of the churn occurred during the first half of 2019, followed by a stabilization of satellite utilization during the second half compensated by new customers.
