Thaicom's Q1 revenue drops 18% on declining satellite services

Satellite operator Thaicom posted revenue from sales and services of THB 788 million for the first quarter of this year, which represents a decline of 18.3 percent year-on-year. The revenue drop was mainly due to the decrease of revenue from satellite and related services for both conventional and broadband satellites, the company said. Compared with the fourth quarter of 2020, revenue also declined by 1.6 percent, as a results of the decrease in conventional service revenue for the first quarter ended 31 March 2021.
