Thailand, Laos to collaborate on telecom development

Thailand and Laos will collaborate on developing telecommunications networks to boost the economy and internet uptake. Officials from Thailand's ICT ministry and CAT Telecom met with officials from Laos' ICT ministry and ETL, the country's state-owned telecommunications provider. The meeting took place during a showcase of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) project, which brings together six countries bounded by the Mekong river to promote telecommunications services and internet data centres.
