Thales launches Gemalto Digital ID mobile wallet for public services

Thales has announced the launch of the Gemalto Digital ID Wallet for governments to issue a digital version of official documents such as identity cards, medical records, driving licences and voter ID on the smartphones of members of the public. People will be able to prove who they are, both online and in the real world, and access their rights and services at the touch of a button, it said.
