Thales secures contract for border control kiosks from French interior ministry

Thales and its Gemalto business have been selected by France's interior ministry to supply several hundred pre-registration kiosks that will be part of a new border security system powered by biometric identification. The kiosks will provide a self-service interactive terminal to guide non-EU travellers through different stages of identity registration and verification, featuring software developed for ultra-rapid checks of document authenticity.
