Thales selects Google Cloud to run eSIM subscription platform

Thales announced that it has created a hybrid architecture for its SM-DP (Subscription Manager Data Preparation) system, which in its first deployment will rely on Google Cloud to deliver a highly scalable eSIM activation service for telecom operators. The result of this collaboration has already been certified under the GSMA security accreditation scheme. The company said that the new cloud infrastructure will enable operators to tackle the anticipated exponential demand for remote activation of eSIM-capable devices.
