Third of German internet users stream music - survey

One in three (32%) German internet users aged 14+ stream music over the internet, according to a survey by Aris for industry group Bitkom. This means that 18 million Germans use music streaming services such as Spotify, Deezer and Soundcloud, a figure which has tripled from 6 million in 2013. The study also showed that internet users are becoming more aware of music streaming services, with 65 percent knowing about such services, up from 30 percent a year earlier. Music streaming is especially popular with younger internet users, with 48 percent of 14-29 year olds using these services,
