Three quarters of Germans do not trust online data security, fewer have faith in social networks

Nearly one in five German internet users (23%) is confident about the security of their online information, said web association Bitkom. This is a rise fom 20 percent in 2017 and from 13 percent in 2014. Its survey found that 75 percent do not consider their personal details to be secure on the internet, and only 10 percent of Germans trust social networks, down from 15 percent in 2017.
