Three quarters of Germans protect smartphone - study

Almost three quarters of German mobile phone users protect their devices with passwords or pin codes, compared with one third in 2012, according to German ICT and new media federation Bitkom citing a survey by Aris for this year and by Forsa for 2012. The study found that mobile users younger than 30 years old are most protective of their phones with 80 percent taking security measures to unlock the keyboard.
