Three quarters of Portuguese use mobile devices for banking

Three quarters (75%) of people in Portugal use mobile devices for banking and everyday payments, compared with a European average of 77 percent, according to Visa's annual Digital Payments study, reports Jornal Economico. The study reveals that mobile banking has become a "new standard" for 62 percent of Europeans and 59 percent of Portuguese people. It also highlights that Millennials (people born after 1980) foster the acceptance of mobile money (86% of Europeans and 81% of Portuguese).
