Thuraya signs service partner agreement with Africell

Thuraya has signed a service partner agreement with Africell to provide Thuraya's data and voice services in Gambia, Sierra Leone and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Thuraya provides satellite coverage over Africa, supporting services in areas without mobile coverage. Africall customers can insert their Sim in a Thuraya handset to access the services. The new partnership with Africell is part of Thuraya's strategy to enhance its distribution network and reach out to vertical industry consumers. Africell Holding operates three GSM operations in Gambia, Sierra Leone and DRC.
