Tieto wins IT contract from Tampere region councils

Finnish IT company Tieto said it has signed an agreement with the city of Tampere and eight nearby municipalities to supply their IT infrastructure and integration services. The agreement is valid for five years from 2016 to 2020 and is worth approximately EUR 30 million. The other locations are Hameenkyro, Kangasala, Lempaala, Nokia, Orivesi, Pirkkala, Vesilahti and Ylojarvi. It is estimated that those places and Tampere will save up to EUR 20 million in IT operation costs compared with current service volumes and rates.
