Tigo Bolivia brings 4G to Cobija, deploys network nationwide

Bolivian mobile telephony operator Tigo has announced the activation of its 4G network in the city of Cobija in Pando following a USD 11 million investment. With the launch, the operator's 4G network now stretches across the whole of Bolivia, said Tigo, which previously activated 4G services in the cities of Riberalta and Guayaramerin in the Beni region. Tigo, fully owned by Millicom, plans to invest a total of USD 130 million in its local operation this year.
