Tigo Ghana upgrades to 3.5G

Monday 11 July 2011 | 10:05 CET | News
Tigo Ghana has launched its 3.5G mobile broadband service. The mobile operator said the faster service forms part of Tigo's contribution to the national push to increase internet penetration across all segments of society. Tigo offers a modem compatible with HSPA services, but it was unclear what type of speeds or pricing would be available to customers. No details on availability of the faster speeds were released. The launch of HSPA coincides with the start of number porting in Ghana.
