Tigo-UNE service revenues improve to 0.3% fall in Q1

Colombian operator Tigo-UNE, owned by Luxembourg-based Millicom, reported organic service revenues down 0.3 percent year on year to USD 405 million in the first quarter, a significant improvement on the 1.9 percent annual decline posted in the previous quarter. However, the operator's mobile customer base plunged 12.4 percent year on year due in part to the discontinuation of UNE's 4G fixed wireless service at the end of 2016. The operator's mobile customer base stood at 7.56 million at the end of Q1, having added 28,000 new subscribers in the quarter following several quarters of net
