TIM Brasil launches 4G operations in Curitiba

TIM Brasil began operating its LTE network in Curitiba. Its licence requires coverage of 50 percent of the urban area of Curitiba by December. Among the areas served are Center, Agua Verde, Batel, Bigorrilho, Mossungue, Portao, Bom Retiro and Vila Izabel. The company said it will invest BRL 146 million this year in the state of Parana. The operator does not charge extra for access to the new network, but recommends customers take a data plan with a high limit, in order to not have the speed reduced after intensive use.
