TIM Brasil signs up for biogas plant to power network sites

TIM Brasil signed a contract to start the first biogas plant for municipal solid waste, generating 5 MW of power for consumption in Brazil. The plant will serve 864 antenna sites on TIM's mobile network in the concession area of Eletropaulo, Sao Paulo capital. With this, the company said it will be the first operator in the country to use biogas to generate energy inside a large urban centre to supply its own facilities.
