TIM Brasil to use Nokia Networks tech for small cells, 4G

Nokia Networks has announced a contract with TIM Brasil to help Telecom Italia's Brazilian subsidiary modernise and expand its 3G and 4G LTE networks in 17 states across the north, northeast and center west regions. Under the terms of the three-year agreement, Nokia Networks will also deploy its small cells products and provide implementation, optimisation and care services. Nokia technology deployed as part of the deal includes its Single RAN Advanced platform, Flexi Lite base stations, and Flexi Zone Small Cells offering to improve indoor and outdoor hotspot capacity.
