TIM brings 100 Mbps FTTC service to Suzzara

TIM (Telecom Italia) has announced the launch of fibre-optic services in the town of Suzzara in the northern Lombardy region. The operator said in a statement 33 street cabinets will bring 100 Mbps FTTC broadband to some 6,000 households, around 83 percent of the local population in a total investment of EUR 500,000. TIM recently announced that it expects to bring fibre-optic technology to 84 percent of Italian homes by the end of 2018 thanks to an investment totalling EUR 3.6 billion.
