TIM expands FTTC network to Cascina in EUR 1.2 mln rollout

Telecom Italia (TIM) has announced the activation of a fibre-to-the-cab (FTTC) service in the town of Cascina in the Pisa province of northern Tuscany following an investment of around EUR 1.2 million. The fibre service is already available in over 14,000 households, after 40 kilometres of cable were connected to 71 street cabinets, giving customers access to the internet at speeds of up to 200 Mbps.
