TIM fined EUR 174,000 for fixed contract breaches

Italy's communications regulator Agcom has fined Telecom Italia (TIM) a total of EUR 174,000 for a series of breaches regarding the costs and conditions of fixed network contracts. The watchdog said it acted after receiving numerous reports from TIM customers complaining about the lack of transparency of contract details provided by call centre operators during online activation procedures between May and July 2019.
