TIM invests EUR 6.5 mln in Bolzano FTTH rollout

Thursday 29 April 2021 | 09:56 CET | News
Telecom Italia (TIM) said it has committed to expanding its fibre-to-the-home network in the city of Bolzano in the alpine South Tyrol province in a total investment of EUR 6.5 million. The deployment will eventually enable residents in around 39,000 homes to access the internet at download speeds of up to 1 Gbps, up from the 15,000 already covered. TIM's existing FTTC network in Bolzano covers around 53,000 homes, equivalent to 96 percent of the city's lines.
