TIM to invest EUR 6.5 mln in Capannori FTTH build

Monday 24 May 2021 | 09:57 CET | News
Telecom Italia (TIM) announced an agreement with Capannori town council to begin rolling out a fibre-to-the-home network in the northern Tuscan locality in a total investment of EUR 6.5 million. The company said the build will eventually enable residents to access the internet at download speeds of up to 1 Gbps, up from the current maximum of 200 Mbps. TIM's existing FTTC network in Capannori already covers around 12,500 homes, some 93 percent of the town's population.
