Tiscali broadly welcomes ruling on 3.5 GHz licence renewal

Monday 2 December 2019 | 09:31 CET | News
Italian operator Tiscali has broadly welcomed last week's decision by the Regional Administrative Court of Lazio on the legal challenge launched by Telecom Italia (TIM), Iliad and Vodafone Italia against the extension of licences held by rival operators in the 3.5 GHz band. The court ruled that the industry ministry's decision to grant a 6-year extension to the licences owned by the WiMax providers Aria (Tiscali), Linkem, Go Internet and Mandarin was valid but that the financial aspect would need to be reviewed.
