Tiscali nine-months net loss widens following UK ops sale

Tiscali reported revenues for the first nine-months of the year at EUR 221.6 million, down 9.5 percent from 244.9 million the year before, with the slowdown attributed mainly to the reduction in revenue narrowband and media, partly offset by results at the Italian unit. Group EBITDA rose 15 percent year-on-year to EUR 69.9 million from EUR 60.9, with the EBITDA margin lifting to 31.6 percent from 14.8 percent the year before. Net income at the Italian unit went to EUR 10.5 million from a loss of 14.5 million, with EBITDA soaring 48.8 percent to EUR 69.1 million. ADSL customers totaled
