TiVo reaches 4.5 mln subscriber milestone

TiVo has announced it now has more than 4.5 million subscribers (including TiVo's retail TiVo-Owned and pay-TV subscriptions), surpassing the previous record number of 4.45 million hit over eight years ago in December 2006. TiVo's service is currently launched with twelve global operators, with three additional announced partners planning to launch the service in the near future.
