TiVo, Roku enter multi-year IP licence deal

TiVo and its newly acquired company Roku entered into a multi-year intellectual property (IP) licence agreement. The IP licence covers both companies' patent portfolios as well as the over-the-top (OTT) assets of the Intellectual Ventures patent portfolio under the TiVo/IV licensing partnership. On top of that, the agreement includes an option for Roku to access TiVo's entertainment metadata and other TiVo products to further power intuitive search and navigation.
