Togo limits use of SIM cards to 3 per user and operator

Togo has set a cap on the number of mobile phone numbers an individual can own to a single line to three, Togo First reported. It said the directive was decided in a decree dated 29 April. According to a statement by the Autorite de Regulation des Communications Electroniques et des Postes (ARCEP), the provision strengthens the legal framework, particularly concerning the identification of mobile service subscribers, to ensure compliance with regulatory and international obligations.
