Togo opens first data centre with USD 30 mln from World Bank

President Faure Gnassingbe has launched Togo's first data centre, financed by the World Bank to the tune of USD 30 million, ITWeb reported. This was under the West African Regional Programme for the Development of Communications Infrastructure (WARCIP) to bridge connectivity gaps in sixteen countries. The World Bank said the project will help reduce the cost of international connectivity and support Togo's digital transformation programme.
