Togocel loses unfair competition case against Arcep

Wednesday 28 April 2021 | 09:34 CET | News
Togocel, a subsidiary of the Axian Group, has lost its case in court against Togolese telecom regulator Arcep, TogoFirst reported. The Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court has rejected Togocel's claim that it was accused of, and fined XOF 1 billion for, unfair competition practices rather than for infringing Arcep's non-differentiation rule. According to the Supreme Court, the fine was in effect imposed for the latter accusation, not the former.
